Good mental health means a sense of confidence, wellbeing and good self-esteem.
It is estimated that 1 in 6 people will suffer from depression and 1 in 4 will suffer from anxiety at some point in their lifetime. So, we want you to know that we are here for you.
The doctor will assess your symptoms and, together with you, work out a plan of action. This may include a referral to a psychologist or psychiatrist. We can help with referrals to Centrelink etc. Some providers may have a gap payment but we will endeavor to find this information out for you prior to any appointments.
We have an in-house counselor, Paulette Gayton, who can be accessed via the GP.
